We received over 2,000 pounds of clothing from University Staff Assembly (USA), Sacramento State. They held their annual clothing drive from Nov 1 - Dec 8 and chose Josh's Heart as the recipients.
We are excited to have another great opportunity to serve our homeless community by offering two ways to volunteer at the end of February. Either are equally important but both together is double the blessings.
Please join us for a day of service, a day of giving and blessing others and day to minister others. Sign up for one day or (for extra blessings) both days.
On February 23rd, 9am-12pm, we will be sorting the clothing at Don and Dawn's house.
On February 24th, 9am-12pm, along with Providence Church, we will be distributing the clothing at Cesar Chavez Park Plaza.
Join us for our 2nd Annual Thanksgiving day homeless feed. Thanksgiving meals for those who go without on Thanksgiving Day.
We, in partnership with Providence Church, will be packaging and delivering 100 thanksgiving meal bags. (we did 50 last year). R.S.V.P.
Josh’s Heart would like to invite you to participate in our first annual Homeless at Heart Program! In keeping in alignment with our mission of spreading the message that everyone “Matters,” we have created a special program to encourage the homeless in our community this holiday season.
We will be collecting and distributing wrapped gifts to the homeless on the streets of Sacramento County. Each gift will be new, and beautifully wrapped. This will most likely be the only gift they receive, so we want to make it beautiful.
Each gift will have a tag that says “You Matter”. Also inside the gift will be a greeting card with warm wishes from a stranger.
The gift items that we will be collecting are:

On April 26th, Josh would have been 33 years old. In honor of his 33rd birthday, Josh's Heart hosted a fundraiser to help raise money for our spring and summer backpack drive! We had about 30 friends of Josh's Heart come out to enjoy some pizza, reminiscing and a balloon release in celebration of Josh's birthday.
Through the silent auction and donations, we raised over $245.00 for this great cause of reaching out to the homeless and addicted. Thank you to all who donatied their services and items and to those who participated and won them. You can still contribute to Josh’s Heart through PayPal.
Several Friends of Johs's Heart and members of Providence Church gathered together to assemble
136 Blessing Backpacks.
Pastor Josh Bueno, Don & Dawn Nahhas, delivered 80 of the Blessing Backpacks to Hiram Johnson High School. KOVR 13 was there to capture it!
We, Pastor Josh Bueno, Don & Dawn Nahhas, and four seniors from West Campus High School, delivered a total of 28 Blessing Backpacks to our homeless neighbors. Several of the recipients knew Josh. It was nice to hear some of their memories of him.
52 Thanksgiving Blessing Lunches were assembled bright and earlier on Thanksgiving morning to feed our homeless. Each lunch, included: 3 roasted turkey sliders on Hawaiian rolls, chips, cookies, banana, and water. We have 50 volunteers from Providence Church and Friends of Josh's Heart there to assemble and distribute the Thanksgiving Blessing Lunches.
Thank you to all the performers who donated their time, to all the businesses that donated items for the raffle, to Blue Lamp for hosting the event, to Gabriell, Jesse and Dez for creating this event and to all who attended the event and supporting Josh's Heart!
